About The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Legal Assistant to join our highly-regarded Property team on a full-time basis.
This role provides essential administrative support to a friendly, yet high-performing practice. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a top calibre team of high performing lawyers.
While this role is based in our Sydney CBD Office, at Bartier Perry, we all have the opportunity to work flexibly and remotely.
About The Team
Our firm’s Property team has a well established and busy practice, with an enviable list of clients within the public and private sector. The Property team act on varied commercial transactions involving commercial, industrial and residential property, in addition to public infrastructure projects.
What does the role involve?
Supporting lawyers within the Property team, you will be responsible for:
- Diary and file management (using iManage);
- Preparing, collating, amending and formatting complex documents and correspondence;
- Answering phone calls, taking clear and accurate messages and passing to appropriate person(s);
- Confidently operating DocuSign and PEXA;
- Online searching via Infotrack and LRS and managing relevant invoices;
- Preparing settlement figures;
- Inputting and maintaining client data into our CRM software (Aderant Expert);
- Monthly billing and client reporting;
- Assisting with Business Development related work, including the preparation of tenders
- Assisting with client queries; and
- Assisting and working with the Licensed Conveyancer.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- 5+ years’ experience as a Legal Assistant within a reputable property law team in NSW.
- Proficiency in electronic file management and the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel. Experience with iManage and/or Aderant Expert would be highly advantageous.
- Strong competency in using PEXA and DocuSign;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- A flexible, friendly and approachable manner.
- An enthusiastic and optimistic demeanour.
- Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure.
