Our Submissions product team is at the forefront of transforming the research publication landscape.  Supporting researchers with the submission of millions of manuscripts annually, we enable peer review and editorial workflows for the largest, global scientific publisher. About the role

As a Group Product Manager, within Elsevier’s global Submissions, you will be a key driver of our product strategy, leading a talented team dedicated to enhancing editor workflows and advancing research integrity. Your strategic vision will shape innovative features and solutions that have a tangible impact on the quality and trustworthiness of scientific publishing.

In this leadership role, you will collaborate with cross-functional squads of engineers, UX designers, data scientists, and subject matter experts to deliver world-class products that empower researchers, editors, and publishers worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Define and communicate a compelling product vision aligned with business goals

  • Lead and develop high-performing product teams, fostering a culture of innovation, customer focus, and continuous improvement

  • Translate complex research publication challenges into innovative, scalable solutions

  • Drive product success by setting clear KPIs, measuring impact, and iterating based on data and customer feedback

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across research, editorial, and technology domains to align priorities and maximize value delivery.

  • Cultivate a strategic mindset within your team, evaluating market opportunities and guiding product roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Proven success in product management, with experience of leading end-to-end product lifecycle in a fast-paced, data-driven environment  

  • Demonstrated leadership in building and coaching high-performing product teams

  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate complex problems into innovative solutions.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing across multiple domains

  • Customer-centric with a passion for understanding user needs and delivering impactful solutions

  • Analytical mindset, skilled in defining, tracking and leveraging KPIs to measure success
