RF Planning & Optimization Engineer

As part of the RAN Engineering team, the role is to get acquainted with and contribute to the different aspects of the RAN network planning and optimisation activities (2G/3G/4G/5G). The role is to work to achieve coverage and capacity requirements whilst being responsible for enhancing and maintaining the quality figures in the whole network from customer perception point of view as well as statistics point of view. The person on the role must have excellent knowledge on the Network optimization principles and trace analysis including Drive test logs analysis

• Huawei and Nokia RAN KPIs and Worst cell analysis. Must have experience with Visualization tools for automated dashboards (Power BI/ Tableau / MYSQL + Postgres)
• Root cause analysis skills for the worst cells and plans for enhancement
• Drive test logs analysis at scale and score improvement towards P3/Umlaut methodology
• Good understanding of the relevant Call flows for 4G. 5G SA call flows is a bonus
• Excellent understanding and optimization skills for VoLTE improvement
• Perform any additional project, task or activities assigned/delegated by the Line Manager.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/ Telecommunications  from a reputed engineering college
• 6 plus years of relevant experience in RF Optimisation
• Good Knowledge of KPI extracting tools i.e., Huawei U2000 and PRS. with in-depth knowledge of key performance indicators and related parameters to tune and enhance customer experience.
• Fully aware of the different Radio Access technologies and technical concepts and vendors roadmaps.
• Tools usage for QGIS, MS Power Suite
