Medical Laboratory Scientist at Providence St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley, CA. This position is Full-time and will work 8-hour, variable shifts.

The Clinical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of high complexity laboratory test results with minimal supervision. CLS personnel are capable of performing pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical duties including specimen evaluation, data analysis, and instrument maintenance and problem resolution. They often work with acute-care and outpatient caregivers, along with other Laboratory Services staff in performing their duties.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Coursework/Training: 16 semesters or equivalent quarter units of chemistry, which must include clinical chemistry, OR analytical chemistry.
- Coursework/Training: 18 semester or equivalent quarter units of biology, which must include hematology, immunology, and medical microbiology.
- Coursework/Training: 3 semester or equivalent quarter units of physics (light and electricity).
- California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California upon hire.
- 1 year Internship - prerequisite to the State Exam.
Preferred Qualification:
- 2 years Clinical lab experience in a hospital setting.
