Your New Role
Are you passionate about workplace health and safety (WHS) and possess a deep commitment to mental health and wellbeing? Due to growth at the Fund, we have created a new role reporting into and collaborating closely with the WHS Manager.
The WHS & Wellbeing Partner will play a pivotal role in the team providing support across a range of activities such as implementing key initiatives in the annual WHS & Mental Health Plan, implementing WHS programs, wellbeing and mental health initiatives, auditing workplace risks and hazards and partnering with key stakeholders to understand WHS challenges.
This role is perfect for someone with a corporate background and at least 5 years of experience in WHS who is eager to make a meaningful impact in our organisation. You’ll have the opportunity to champion a positive safety culture and implement initiatives that promote safety, wellbeing and psychosocial hazard awareness across the organisation.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement WHS policies and procedures.
- Conduct risk assessments,audits and workplace inspections to ensure compliance with WHS legislation and standards, across all states and territories
- Support the development and delivery of WHS, wellbeing and mental health initiatives.
- Manage administration, reporting and data insights
- Become an SME and direct contact point for all enquiries relating to WHS
- Coordinate WHS Committee meetings and Mental Health First Aider training and support meetings ensuring all actions are tracked through to closure
- Assist with the development, planning and delivery of WHS training and induction
- Assist with the return-to-work program and early intervention strategies
- Coordinate and conduct ergonomic assessments
What You’ll Need
- Cert IV in Work, Health & Safety - Mandatory requirement
- Demonstrated WHS experience within a corporate environment
- Experience supporting mental health and wellbeing programs
- Strong working knowledge of WHS regulations and legislation
- Proven ability in developing policies and procedures
- Experience supporting WHS Management Systems
- Sound knowledge of incident and risk management principles
- Ability to build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Sound project management skills
- Return to Work and claims management experience
- Mental Health First Aid
