Position Overview:

We’re hiring a Finance & Systems Manager to help us strengthen the financial infrastructure of our organization. This role is ideal for someone with a strong accounting background who is also a power user of NetSuite, with the ability to clean up financial data, optimize reporting tools, and improve finance-related processes.

In this role, you’ll lead the operational finance cleanup effort, build better visibility into company performance through reports and dashboards, and ensure the accuracy and structure of financial data. There is a potential for the role to grow into a Financial Controller position once systems and workflows are in place.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee cleanup and organization of financial data in NetSuite
  
• Develop and manage key financial reports, dashboards, and analysis tools
  
• Partner with external accountants or bookkeepers to streamline workflows
  
• Support monthly close, reconciliations, and audit prep
  
• Ensure proper categorization and alignment of chart of accounts
  
• Lead reporting for leadership and board-level financial reviews
  
• Identify and implement process improvements in accounting systems and reporting
  
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis
  
• Manage and improve financial data integrity and compliance
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, finance operations, or systems management
  
• Strong experience with NetSuite, including reporting and system cleanup
  
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in financial modeling
  
• Experience managing or working closely with bookkeepers
  
• Knowledge of both U.S. and Canadian tax/accounting practices (preferred)
  
• Ability to work independently, remotely, and communicate clearly with stakeholders
  

Bonus Skills:

• CPA or equivalent designation (a plus, not required)
  
• Experience in system migrations or ERP optimizations
  
• Prior experience working in a part-time or consulting role
