Complete a 10 to 15 week program on Kroger’s Energy Team to assist in several areas, including lighting, incentives, solar, motors, ENERGY STAR, maintenance and other assigned tasks within Facility Engineering - Energy. Demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety.

Work with energy engineers and management to assist in various projects in order to implement corporate strategies.

Participate in weekly department meetings.

Complete internship-specific assignments.

Complete cumulative project (summary of internship accomplishments) and present to the executive team or appropriate managers.

Minimum

Student at an accredited college or university

Minimum 3.0 GPA

Approval by the Division of Professional Practice to co-op

Proficient Microsoft Office skills and ability to utilize basic engineering tools

Knowledge of basic engineering principles

Ability to think critically and act independently and interdependently

Self-motivated and driven to complete tasks at hand to meet deadlines

Excellent time management skills

Strong oral and written communication skills

Responds to change as a positive challenge

Civil engineer, mechanical engineer or construction management student
