Summary:

Do you have a passion for problem solving and working with data? As a member of the Finance department, you will be responsible for cash management, accounting, and daily client payment processing and funding functions. Daily you will reconcile cash accounts, including credit card and ACH processing, and record activity in the accounting system. You will investigate payment processing and funding differences and returns, and work with internal departments and our partners to ensure our clients are funded accurately and timely. You will own key billing and accounts receivable operations for multiple entities within Vanco and work to identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing solutions to resolve process inefficiencies, issues, and risks.

What You’Ll Be Doing:

  • Update check registers/reconcile bank accounts and record activity in the accounting system on a daily basis.
  • Investigate and resolve missing and unreconciled credit card transactions and manage client returns, notification of change (NOC), and support requests on a daily basis.
  • Manage daily cash movements, including submission of client funding files to processing banks, direct client transfers, and internal corporate transfers.
  • Monitor and reconcile cash received for credit card/ACH and bill pay products.
  • Assist with month-end close procedures, including account reconciliations, client statements, and invoicing.
  • Perform day-to-day billing functions for multiple entities. This includes managing customer contracts, revenue recognition templates, billing schedules, and preparing and issuing invoices, with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Follow-up with customers on any questions or discrepancies related to invoicing by working with Client Success or Sales team members to resolve any issues or adjustments.
  • Manage accounts receivable aging and maintain within company targets by following-up with any customers with past due balances.
  • Translate and analyze data into      reports and provide key billing and revenue reports to management.
  • Support and respond to any audit      and tax requests as needed throughout the year.
  • Coordinate accounting and finance matters (e.g. contract renewals, termed customers, reports, etc.) with other departments and offices.
  • Support the integration of acquired entities by assisting in the integration of customer contracts into the accounting and customer relationship management systems.
  • Assist other Finance team members in process improvements, risk mitigation, and ad-hoc projects. Aid in the conversion of newly acquired entities into existing applications and processes.
  • Works in conjunction with various departments to create, test, implement and monitor changes or modifications to cash management and account analysis applications.
  • Becomes the subject matter expert on cash management products by understanding the relationship between the company products and the core applications from beginning (data origination) to the end (reports/statements) of the process.
Requirements

Who you are:· BS/ BA in Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred.· The required skills, knowledge and abilities are typically acquired through a minimum of 3-5 years of work experience.· You are effective at creating, gathering and analyzing reports and data.· You are a strong communicator, both oral & written, communicating proactively & impactfully.· You remain flexible in a demanding work environment, with frequent requirements to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and meet multiple priorities and time commitments.· You are self-motivated, have an excellent work ethic, are a problem solver, highly accountable, and detail oriented.· You have intellectual curiosity with a desire to improve processes and take on additional responsibilities.· Proficient in MS Office (i.e. Excel, Outlook, Word).
