A bit about the role

Are you passionate about building capability, shaping culture and creating an environment where people can do their best work? As our Organisational Development Lead, you’ll drive initiatives that help our people thrive, strengthen connection and bring our values to life. 
 
In this role, you’ll lead and inspire a team, design programs that develop capability and deliver initiatives that make a real difference to culture, wellbeing and inclusion. You’ll partner closely with leaders across the organisation to turn insights into action, embed values into everyday practice and support a workplace where people feel they belong. 
 
This is your opportunity to make an impact at scale through championing culture, engagement and leadership development to help shape the future of one of Victoria’s fastest-growing councils. 

What you’ll deliver

  • Lead the design and delivery of OD programs including onboarding, performance and development, engagement, employee listening, recognition, talent and succession, capability framework refresh and embedding, leadership development and forums, and employee value proposition.
  • Drive culture initiatives using the Human Synergistics framework, translate insights into meaningful action and create an engaging, connected and thriving workplace.
  • Champion diversity, inclusion and wellbeing initiatives that support a safe, connected and inclusive organisation.
  • Coach and guide the OD team to deliver high-quality, customer-focused outcomes.
  • Partner across People & Culture and the broader organisation to provide evidence-based advice and solutions 

What you’ll bring

  • Relevant degree in Organisational Development, Organisational Psychology, Human Resources or a related field.
  • Proven ability to deliver contemporary evidence-based OD practices across different organisations.
  • Experience in coaching and leading others.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills with a customer-focused approach.
  • Experience in culture transformation with an understanding of Human Synergistics tools being a bonus
