Position Purpose
As the Regional Head of escentials, you will be the guardian of the beauty retailers’ brand positioning; curating a captivating luxury haven for discerning beauty lovers across Southeast Asia. You are entrusted not just with commercial success, but with elevating escentials into an iconic, multi-sensory luxury beauty destination, known for discovering exceptional niche beauty and fragrance brands, delivering immersive retail experiences, and commanding an unmistakable aesthetic identity across all touchpoints.
You are more than a commercial leader—you’re a luxury curator and cultural tastemaker. With a passion for discovering new and emerging luxury beauty brands, you bring the vision, creativity, and strategic leadership to transform escentials into Southeast Asia’s premier luxury beauty destination. You balance business growth with brand guardianship, ensuring that every detail—from store design to product mix—reflects the highest level of refinement and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Brand Stewardship & Curation
- Position escentials as a distinguished luxury destination; a place where beauty is celebrated through discovery, expertise, and sensory delight
- Safeguard and communicate a cohesive brand aesthetic; visually compelling, emotionally resonant, and unmistakably refined
- Proactively source, evaluate, and secure partnerships with new and up-and-coming luxury beauty and fragrance brands, ensuring escentials remains the go-to destination for discovery and exclusivity across the region
- Curate a brand portfolio that excites and inspires, balancing established icons with fresh, emerging players
Strategic Brand Partnerships
- Cultivate strong relationships with brand partners; negotiating exclusives, limited editions, and tailored activations that elevate escentials’ positioning
- Collaborate on curated showcases, events, and thematic campaigns that reflect both global luxury standards and local market relevance
Commercial Leadership & Growth
- Drive commercial performance with full P&L responsibility, revenue growth, pricing strategy, and ROI optimization
- Expand distribution across channels (own retail, department stores, e-commerce, salons, marketplaces) with a focus on premium positioning
- Forecast, plan, and manage inventory, ensuring launch excellence and operational efficiency
Experiential Retail & Client Engagement
- Design and activate immersive in-store luxury experiences that surprise and delight, from interactive discovery zones to private consultations
- Champion high-touch clienteling, ensuring VIP and high-net-worth customers experience personalized service at every interaction
Marketing & Omni-Channel Storytelling
- With the marketing team, lead 360° storytelling across digital, editorial content, events, and in-store experiences
- Build an engaged community through CRM, loyalty, and experiential programs that go beyond transactional retail to create emotional connections
Team Leadership & Cultural Influence
- Lead and inspire regional and local teams to embody luxury service and execution standards.
- Foster a culture of innovation, trend sensitivity, and creative retail execution
- Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders on performance, opportunities, and challenges
Requirements:
- Minimum 10+ years in beauty, luxury, FMCG, or premium retail, with regional exposure preferred.
- Proven success in driving P&L performance, strategic growth, and profitable expansion across markets, self-motivated and ability to drive business/brand strategy & execution (sales, marketing, media, PR, and market development)
- Strong grasp of luxury consumer behaviours, aesthetics, and clienteling
- Demonstrated ability to identify, source, and successfully launch new and emerging luxury beauty and fragrance brands
- Track record in 360 marketing, digital engagement, CRM, and building customer loyalty
- Good analytical skills with ability to grasp P&L. Strong skills in financial planning, forecasting, and decision-making
- Persuasive, credible with senior stakeholders, and able to inspire cross-market teams. Independent individual with entrepreneur spirit. Able to handle negotiations and meetings with higher level executives, both internally (eg. Country Managers) and externally (eg. Senior Executives from brand partners)
- Fluent in English, any other Asian language an advantage to support business needs
