Site Reliability Engineer I

We focus on Java applications migration to the cloud and on automation.

One of our core applications are SOAP and REST gateways which process 40% of Sabre Traffic. Exposed API’s and application services (example Air Shopping) for external customers. Customers are sending the requests which gateways based on routing tables re-direct to appropriate backend applications to make sure responses come back to Sabre customers fast and in secured way.

Job Description

• Responsible for the overall stability, reliability, recoverability, operability

• Automate routine tasks

• Analyze and troubleshoot technical problems

• Responsible for applications deployment and configuration changes 

• Oncall Support

Qualifications

Must Have Skills:

• Good Linux /Unix knowledge

• Linux/Applications monitoring and troubleshooting

• Experience in cloud technologies (AWS, GCP) 

• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, in a very fast paced environment

• Networking knowledge (DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, HTTP, Load-balancing)

• Good written and verbal English communication skills

• Ability to quickly learn new technologies and keep abreast of the latest technological

• advances

• Knowledge of tools like Maven, Ansible, Jenkins

• CI/CD and terraform scripts

Nice To Have Skills:

• Familiar with Rally, Jira, Snow tools

• Experience with:

             - Migration of legacy apps to the cloud

             - Complex, high-availability systems

             - Capacity Planning

             - Change Management

             - Configuration Management 

             - ITSM/ITIL
