ACCOUNT MANAGER
Location: United States – Remote (covering the northeast region)
JOB OVERVIEW:
The Account Manager is the first point of contact for prospective clients of Company. This individual must achieve aggressive goals for building qualified sales leads, securing new prospect pharma/biotech sponsor meetings and RFPs through tele sales utilizing business analytics, cold calling, and pre-defined call lists as well as follow-up to marketing activities such as tradeshows, webinars and other marketing campaigns.
Job Duties And Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate sales engagement skills targeting new prospects with strategic daily cold-calling via email, LinkedIn and telephone.
- Develop viable leads by identifying the prospect's needs via cold-calling efforts.
- Secure new biotech and pharma sponsor meeting commitments for Company operational experts to attend.
- Qualify prospective leads expressing interest via website, webcasts, and other marketing programs.
- Book meetings for Company operations experts at marketing events, both virtual and live.
- Execute territory-specific initiatives working through marketing, operations, and business development.
- Achieve monthly and quarterly goals of new meetings and qualified RFP opportunities.
- Understand Company’s product and service offerings, functionality, positioning and competitive advantage.
- Research biotech and pharma sponsor companies to identify ideal client targets for Company services.
- Maintain updated company and contact database for assigned territory in CRM.
- Log all lead and revenue generation activities in CRM as required for reporting and success measurement.
- Manage reporting and account planning exercises within CRM.

Job Requirements:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related area such as biology, chemistry, business or marketing (or equivalent experience).
- Strong aptitude for cold-calling and lead generation.
- 2+ years relevant experience in sales, business, or biotech.
- Prior prospecting or CRO experience required.
Skills/Competencies
- Ability to exceed monthly quota objectives through outbound sales activities.
- Ability to research and pursue sales leads and opportunities.
- Motivated, energetic and service-oriented personality with strong selling abilities.
- Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to have a well-structured conversation.
- Demonstrable PC literacy and outstanding written, oral, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Good professional judgment, self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as with a team.
- Demonstrated ability for problem solving is expected.
- Salesforce.com CRM software experience preferred.
- Understanding of sales automation systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is desired.
