Summary

Pulse Electronics, a Yageo Company, is seeking a motivated Engineering Student Intern to support our R&D and product development teams. Responsibilities include assisting with data entry and maintaining engineering databases, preparing and managing samples for evaluations, supporting lab testing activities, and documenting results for engineering review. The intern will collaborate closely with engineers on development projects, provide administrative and technical support, and help streamline testing processes. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Perform accurate data entry and maintain engineering databases, records, and tracking systems.
  • Order, receive, and manage samples for engineering evaluations.
  • Process and prepare samples for lab testing and product evaluations.
  • Work closely with R&D engineers to support development projects and product trials.
  • Assist in laboratory testing activities, including setup, execution, and recording of test results.
  • Document and analyze product test results, compiling data for engineering review.
  • Provide administrative and technical support for engineering projects as assigned.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials.
  • Support product evaluation activities, including preparation of reports and summaries.
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives to streamline sample and testing processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a college or university program, pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles and practices
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Location & Work Type 

  • San Diego, CA - US
  • Part-Time
  • Hourly, $16.50/hour.
