Job Description
We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the finance team of Ignitis in Latvia, where you’ll be responsible for overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance with International accounting standards, and providing valuable insights to support strategic decision-making. - You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Participating in the month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintaining accounting records
- Preparing financial statements and reports in accordance with IFRS and Polish accounting standards
- Implementing and monitoring internal controls to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
- Collaborating with external auditors during annual audits and tax filings
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions
- Ensuring compliance with Latvian tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Managing relationships with key stakeholders, including banks and tax authorities
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience (e.g. Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable or Bank payments)
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Knowledge of IFRS and Latvian accounting standards
- Familiarity with Latvian tax regulations and reporting requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Fluency in Latvian and English both written and spoken (as this role involves regular communication with international colleagues and partners)
