Shift:
40 hours per bi-weekly pay period
Part time
Day shift 7:00 am-3:30 pm

The Nuclear Medicine technologist performs quality imaging that assists the Radiologist in diagnoses relevant to Nuclear Medicine. This person is responsible for the preparation, administration and measurement of the radioactive isotopes utilizing a variety of radioisotope equipment.

Responsibilities Of This Position Include:

  • Calculates, measures and records radiation dosage or radiopharmaceuticals received, used and disposed, using computer and following the physician's orders.
  • Administers radiopharmaceuticals to patients to detect diseases using radioisotope equipment under the direction of the physician.
  • Stores and disposes of radioactive materials and radiopharmaceuticals following radiation safety procedures.
  • Processes cardiac functions studies using the workstation and sending the appropriate images to PACS
  • Detects and maps radiopharmaceuticals in patients' bodies using a camera to produce images for interpretation.
  • Performs accurate data entry into the PACS system as well as any other electronic record.
  • Maintains knowledge of the scheduling process within the HIS system.

Requirements Of This Position Include:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Nuclear Medicine; 2-5 years preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine Program
  • NMTCB
