Overview
As a Software Engineer for Artificial Intelligence, you are responsible for bringing technical expertise and a strong collaborative spirit. In this role, you go beyond technical development to drive impactful solutions in eCommerce and product data optimization. You implement robust, scalable machine learning models and the services that access them, aiding the delivery of AI products that align with our vision for innovation. Collaborating cross-functionally, you leverage AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to solve complex business challenges, drive data-driven decision-making, and advance product innovation across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Leverage technical expertise to design scalable, high-performance AI solutions, creating reliable, reusable systems.
- Address complex, ambiguous problems with advanced judgment and strategic solutions, ensuring robustness and adaptability to meet both current and future organizational needs.
- Collaborate across teams, adapting communication to align AI initiatives with business goals and building strong networks with key stakeholders to foster innovation and quality.
- Ensure delivery of reliable, scalable solutions that meet business needs and drive future growth.
- Apply AI and ML expertise to create high-impact solutions, influence cross-disciplinary methods, and develop frameworks for immediate and long-term success. Serve as a recognized expert, promoting knowledge-sharing and advancing AI capabilities across Rithum.
- Participate in on-call rotation to support the “you build it you own it” mantra
- Understanding and utilization of software development tools including version control, building processes, debuggers, and test frameworks for:
- Primary technologies (may include):
- C#, .NET Core, Python, Java, C++, TypeScript/React, Angular, JavaScript
- Github, Azure
- SOAP/REST web service APIs
- Secondary technologies (may include):
- AWS services (OpenSearch, Lambda, DynamoDB, Kinesis, RDS, ECS, and others)
- Redis, NoSQL
- Microsoft SQL Server
- Cloud technologies
- CI/CD tools/pipelines

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience developing in Python.
- 2+ years’ experience with AWS services.
- 2+ years’ experience with AI technologies (such as PyTorch or TensorFlow) with a strong technical and strategic focus, including expertise in machine learning algorithms, NLP, computer vision, and large-scale deployment.
- Proficiency in cloud platforms, along with experience in creating data systems for feature stores and vector databases.
- Strong communication skills, adept at visualizing and presenting complex data insights to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities, with a record of delivering data-driven solutions to complex business challenges.
- Experienced collaborator with cross-functional teams, working closely with product managers, engineers, and business leaders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, ML, Statistics) preferred, with proven expertise across ML-related disciplines and an ability to influence team practices and standards.
- Experience developing in C#
- Data privacy compliance experience, ensuring all data handling and analysis adhere to regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and internal governance policies.
- Familiarity with industries such as e-commerce, retail, online marketplaces, or digital advertising.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams across multiple time zones.
