About the role

Reporting to the Head of Product - Selection, the Senior Product Manager is a 9 month contract role working in the Talent Search team. 

Our end-users include thousands of small, medium and large employers and recruiters (hirers) in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand and Hong Kong who use the Talent Search products.  The products we manage enable our hirers to complement their job ad with a search of our vast database of candidates utilising our proprietary search and match capabilities to identify the right candidate for them.  This team is working on some of the highest priority OKRs at SEEK, so is an opportune area to shine and showcase your product management craft.

Responsibilities

• Own a core problem space, driving product transformation and innovation to better meet customer and business needs
• Challenge the status quo and help shape the evolution of SEEK’s business model through bold, strategic product thinking
• Actively engage cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment with strategic objectives and clear accountability for outcomes
• Be a relentless customer advocate, designing user experiences that address real customer problems and deliver measurable value
• Identify and validate opportunities through discovery practices that balance user needs, commercial potential, and strategic fit
• Shape and lead execution plans, delivering product improvements, UI changes, and new functionality within SEEK’s ad product infrastructure
• Monitor and drive key product metrics, ensuring product health and performance are regularly assessed and iterated on
• Stay abreast of market, technology and competitor trends, and proactively bring outside-in thinking to product strategy

Qualifications

Skills and experience

• Strategic problem-solver, comfortable operating in ambiguity and navigating complexity to find clear paths forward
• Structured decision-maker, confident making nuanced trade-offs and bringing others on the journey
• Strong customer orientation, with a passion for understanding user needs and delivering valuable experiences
• Commercial mindset, able to balance customer value with business outcomes and constraints
• Analytical and data-driven, experienced in using qualitative and quantitative insights (including with data scientists) to inform decisions
• Experienced in leading cross-functional teams, creating alignment and momentum across product, design, engineering and commercial
• Strong influencer and communicator, able to build trust and align stakeholders across all levels of the organisation
• Deep product development experience, with fluency in agile practices, discovery methods, technical solution design and iterative delivery
• Comfortable working in AI-enabled product environments; direct experience with AI/ML is an advantage
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal abilities
• Growth mindset, with curiosity and drive to continuously learn and improve
• Clear belief in SEEK’s Purpose, and motivation to create positive impact through your work
