Reporting to the Leader, People Partnerships, this role advises and coordinates all aspects of sourcing and recruitment. This role liaises with internal and external stakeholders, manages databases, maintains accurate and secure records and files, and manages multiple priorities.

- Pay Grade: 15 ($69,900 - $94,500 annual base salary )
- Location: Vancouver or open to any of our BC regional offices (hybrid work environment)
- Reports to: Leader, People Partnerships
As a Talent Acquisition Advisor, you will:
- Lead the recruitment and selection processes and ensure efficiency of process and effective representation of Technical Safety BC to potential candidates. Examples of responsibilities include prescreening resumes, coordinating interview materials, acting as chairperson on the interview panel, conducting reference checks, preparing offer letters, providing feedback to both internal and external applicants, etc. Maintain statistics for recruitment and selection, such as duration of process, success during probation, etc.
- Develop, organize, and maintain various databases. Update HR systems with relevant information, run reports and analyses from the systems to update leaders, report on metrics, identify trends, concerns, and progress.
- Works in partnership with others to promote Technical Safety BC’s employer brand and attract a diverse candidate pool to a variety of corporate and skilled positions. Stays current with sourcing channels and modifies the recruitment strategy to adapt to the needs of various positions.
- In consultation with the culture and learning team, advances sourcing, assessment and interview techniques in support of Technical Safety BC’s equity, diversity and inclusion initiatives.
- Organizes and participates in appropriate outreach events i.e. career fairs. Champions Technical Safety BC as an employer to proactively build candidate pools.
- Provide back-up to other HR functions as required i.e. vacation coverage. Participates in a variety of other HR projects and initiatives.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience you have:
- Diploma or degree in human resources, with particular expertise in recruitment or HR generalist experience
- 2+ years recruitment and HR coordination experience
- Working toward CPHR designation an asset
- Experience with HRIS and applicable metrics/reporting tools preferred
- Advanced skills in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and internet searches, with strong ability to quickly learn new computer programs
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in an environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality, discretion and judgment.
- Ability to manage ambiguity and approach challenges with a high level of enthusiasm and initiative.
- Able to travel overnight throughout BC approximately 10% of the time
