Job Description

The Opportunity
This is a versatile and dynamic home-based role for a professional who thrives at the intersection of technical expertise and commercial growth. As our new Technical Sales Specialist for the UK South, you will be a key member of our high-performing team, reporting to the Technical Sales Manager based in Cramlington.

Your mission is twofold: to be the trusted technical advisor for our customers in the printing and converting industry, while also assuming commercial and sales responsibilities for a portion of your client portfolio. You will be the face of Avery Dennison, building strong partnerships, solving complex technical challenges, and proactively driving business growth across your territory. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual to make a tangible impact in a multi-faceted and rewarding role.

What You Will Do - Your Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Consultancy & Problem Solving: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers. Analyse, troubleshoot, and rapidly resolve client issues related to product performance, printing processes, adhesives, conversion, and label application.
  • Commercial Growth & Sales Management: Take ownership of the commercial and sales responsibilities for designated customer accounts. Proactively identify new business opportunities, develop strategic account plans, and drive revenue growth to meet and exceed targets.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key stakeholders, from technical operators to senior management, establishing yourself as a credible and indispensable partner.
  • Product Expertise & Training: Become an expert on the Avery Dennison product portfolio. Champion our new products, applications, and technical developments by conducting compelling demonstrations and training sessions at customer sites.
  • Market Intelligence: Act as a vital link between the customer and our internal teams. Gather and feedback market insights, customer needs, and competitive intelligence to influence future product development and sales strategy.

Qualifications

What we expect from you! - Your Expertise:

  • University Degree or equivalent
  • Previous work experience of 3+ years in a technical support, research and development or (technical) sales position within a manufacturing organisation is important
  • Experience in printing, converting, and/or packaging/labeling technology market, as well as knowledge of label / packaging industry, printing technologies and/or labeling solutions is beneficial
  • Creativity and innovation, entrepreneurial spirit for growing a sustainable business to set your career at Avery Dennison
  • Valid driving license

Hours: 37.5 hours per week
