We have a role available for a Hydraulic Engineer to join our Defence division. This is a permanent full-time position that could be based at any of the main defence bases in the Northern Territory.

About the role
You will oversee and manage all hydraulic services across multiple defence bases.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Coordinating with various stakeholders to maintain alignment with overall project goals.
Conducting regular inspections and audits of hydraulic systems and processes.
Developing and implementing Water Quality Management (WQM) and Waste Water Management (WWM) plans.
Developing and maintaining Service Definition Tables (SDT) for hydraulic services.
Ensuring compliance with Waste Water Operating Authority requirements.
Managing bore water systems, including maintenance and compliance.
Preparing reports and documents as required for regulatory compliance and project management.
Providing technical support and guidance to the engineering team.
About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
Tertiary qualifications in Hydraulic Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent is highly desirable.
Relevant certifications in Water Quality Management (WQM) and Waste Water Management (WWM).
Ideally 5 years’ experience in hydraulic engineering, preferably within the defence sector or large-scale infrastructure projects.
Experience in managing bore water systems and regulatory compliance.
Demonstrated stakeholder engagement abilities and complex project management experience.
Valid driver's licence.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
