About You
The HE Quality Lead at RMIT is essential for enhancing the academic governance of Higher Education programs, particularly within the CoVE associate degree teams. This role involves collaborating with educators and program leaders to ensure compliance with RMIT policies and TEQSA requirements while developing optimal pathways for students.
Key responsibilities include guiding educators through compliance processes, supporting the professional development of associate degree teachers, and assisting in the development or modification of associate degree and HE Diploma offerings. The lead will work with the Learning Design Team to provide necessary resources and templates to ensure alignment with policies.
Maintaining associate degree resources on the Teach VE Hub, liaising with services like RMIT CEIQ to support quality initiatives, and ensuring program guides comply with university policies are crucial tasks. Additionally, the HE Quality Lead will collaborate with the Learning & Teaching innovation team and manage the SSO to support HE programs, along with performing other duties as assigned by the Manager.
To be successful in this position, you’ll have:
1. Expert knowledge of the quality requirements of HE qualifications and courses i.e. TEQSA, AQF and CRICOS requirements along with RMIT Policies and the Education Plan.
2. Experience in the development of Program and Course Learning Outcomes, and assessments at AQF5 and 6 across a range of disciplines ideally in a dual sector setting.
3. Highly developed skills in the areas of adult pedagogies. Clear understanding of program governance, curriculum design and RMIT’s signature pedagogy.
4. Experience in project management in education environments, ability to meet deadlines and project milestones.
5. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrating the ability to work collaboratively with staff across all levels from a coaching and development perspective.
6. Proven experience managing and developing staff and teamwork to influence improvements in assessment compliance and learning and teaching outcomes.
Qualifications
Mandatory: An Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Level 5 Diploma or above in teaching and
learning which includes supervised teaching practice and studies in teaching methodology or equivalent
qualification accepted by the University.
