Marketing Internship (Summer 2026)

Job Description Summary

Summer 2026 Internship - We seek a dynamic, energetic intern eager to learn about Waystar and the healthcare payments industry. This unique experience will provide insight into a dynamic, ever-changing, and evolving industry, coupled with the opportunity to join a great company like Waystar. As part of this internship experience, you will expand on your professional development skills and gain first-hand knowledge of a niche within the healthcare industry. Interns will assist the company with various tasks including, but not limited to, learning about the healthcare revenue management cycle, calling clients to drive registration for Waystar’s client conference, reporting insights, and assisting across teams on various projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Job Description

• Provide support on upcoming marketing campaigns and assist with managing the marketing calendar, including project management of deadlines.

• Help brainstorm ideas for out-of-the-box marketing ideas, including researching industry and audience insights to uncover new advertising and partnership opportunities.

• Perform ad hoc but repeatable duties, such as pulling reports, compiling marketing updates, and managing content and advertising trackers.

• The inner workings of a comprehensive marketing campaign, including the pre-planning and research that goes into it

• Learn about the industry we're in, gain experience in the research and planning that goes into identifying advertising opportunities, and how to collect information about a target market to inform initiatives

• Thinking creatively while ensuring their ideas are targeted toward driving leads and bookings.

• Be exposed to various activities that marketing performs as part of their role.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Do you fit our team?

• Junior or Senior

• 3.2 or above GPA

• Actively involved on campus and in the community

• Majors/Minors: Open

• Interest in healthcare and technology

• Curiosity to go deeper into the projects given

• Ability to adapt and pivot with competing priorities and deadlines

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Experience with Google Analytics is a plus.
