Position Overview

Join our dynamic team at Flender as a Logistics Manager, where you will be responsible for all Warehouse Operations in Inventory Management, Receiving, Stockroom, and Shipping. Logistics/Supply Chain Management duties include selecting local carriers, researching shipping methods, cycle counts, team leadership assessing budgets, and controlling warehouse cost & organizing storage. 

The successful candidate must demonstrate strong attention to detail to oversee daily operations and logistics employees. In addition to having excellent organizational skills, ability to use good judgement and make decisions regarding warehouse activities, you should possess in-depth knowledge of logistics and inventory systems. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversees warehouse activities, flow of goods, and workers engaged in receiving, picking, storing and shipping products or materials.
  • Lead, train, schedule, and manage logistics staff, set productivity goals and foster a safe working environment.
  • Oversees all inventory related transactions in SAP.
  • Works and communicates well with other functions such as operations, purchasing, sales, finance, quality and engineering.
  • Responsible to manage 3rd party logistics providers as per company strategy.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Oversee and participate in inventory management with cycle counts and year end physical inventory while ensuring accurate recordkeeping to maintain traceability
  • Monitor and improve warehouse operations, optimizing workflows, space utilization and equipment use.
  • Identify and implement areas of process improvement and cost reduction
  • Liaise with other departments, suppliers, and logistical providers to coordinate deliveries and ensure smooth supply chain operations.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to support data-driven decision-making

Required Knowledge /Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in warehouse and transportation management, including at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a logistics team
  • Understanding and implementing process improvements and key performance indicators
  • A strong aptitude for identifying and solving operational issues
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and OSHA regulations within warehouse environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and SAP
  • Must work well unsupervised and be self-motivated
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage ambiguity effectively
  • Understanding of safe handling of logistics equipment and tools such as forklifts, cranes.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
