Key Outcomes

65% of Time:  Sing with the group and lead small group in rehearsals and performance

  • Prepare music ahead of time and/or have excellent sight-reading skills
  • Demonstrate healthy vocal technique and be available to share vocal knowledge with students
  • Demonstrate excellent rehearsal etiquette and musicianship: asking questions, marking scores, leading from within

15% of Time:  Successfully lead small group in rehearsals and performance

  • Rehearse group efficiently
  • Use positive techniques to teach and guide
  • Demonstrate clear, positive leadership skills with verbal and written communication and conducting postures
  • Assist in choosing appropriate, pleasing repertoire

5% of Time:  Create Rehearsal Tracks

  • Create accurate rehearsal tracks for the group’s repertoire
  • Do this in a timely manner in the format proscribed by the director
  • Demonstrate healthy singing, good intonation, and accuracy

15% of Time:  Complete Administrative Tasks

  • Assist with uniform preparation
  • Assist with library organization
  • Assist with social media promotion
  • Write program notes and help with program creation
  • Assist with rosters and attendance
  • Recruit by greeting students positively and attending recruiting events
  • Other duties as requested by the director
