As a Medical Science Liaison at GSK, you will play a pivotal role in driving meaningful scientific exchange, enhancing healthcare professionals' understanding of our data, and supporting optimal care for patients living with therapy area-associated diseases in the Gulf region. Your contributions will also inform GSK's research efforts and overall medical strategy, ensuring positive patient impact and advanced medical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive impactful scientific exchange to inform optimal patient care and improve healthcare professionals' understanding of GSK’s data.
- Capture scientific insights from the external environment to support GSK’s research initiatives and medical strategy.
- Support clinical trial participation by identifying investigators and recruitment sites.
- Attend congresses, organize advisory boards, coach other MSLs, and execute field medical responsibilities.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and corporate guidelines while supporting departmental program strategies.
- Oversee medical and clinical aspects for GSK Gulf within the assigned therapy areas, including HIV.
Accountability:
- Act as the field representative for Management during interactions with healthcare professionals.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external experts to support clinical research programs such as investigator-sponsored trials and company-sponsored initiatives.
- Provide the business with valuable scientific insights and opportunities.
- Champion compliant work practices and the safe use of research compounds and products.
- Serve as the medical/clinical content expert and partner across Medical Affairs, Sales, and Commercial teams.
- Manage programs within designated scope, schedule, and resource constraints.

Qualifications:
- MD, Pharmacist, PhD, or equivalent life sciences degree.
- Gulf experience is a must.
- Preferably 2–3 years of experience in MSL roles or specialty care within the last three years.
- Proven success in MSL teams and prior experience with product launches is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of the Gulf healthcare environment, including market access and health technology assessments.
- Strong ethical understanding and pharmaceutical compliance knowledge.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and risk-mitigation skills.
- Proficient in tools like Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and other computer-based applications.
- Fluent in English; Arabic is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively across the Gulf and globally.
