Job Duties
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Project Manager to lead complex projects within our Non-Terrestrial Network (NTN) initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise in satellite communications, related NTN fields, coupled with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale projects from conception to completion. This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate technical challenges, manage diverse stakeholders, and drive project success in a fast-paced, evolving industry.
Minimum Qualification
- • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related technical field. Master's degree preferred.
- • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects.
- • At least 3 years of direct project management experience specifically within Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN), satellite communications, aerospace, or related space-based communication systems.
- • In-depth knowledge of NTN architectures and how they extend terrestrial networks.
- • Focus on designing, analyzing, and optimizing call flow and network signaling within integrated satellite and terrestrial networks.
- • Key responsibilities include ensuring interoperability, managing mobility across diverse networks (e.g., LEO/MEO/GEO, terrestrial)
- • Oversee Designs, implements, and maintains integrated satellite and terrestrial communication systems that provide global connectivity for 5G, IoT, and other applications in remote areas.
- • Understanding NTN architecture, analyzing 3GPP standards, developing solutions for power-constrained satellite components, testing RF and modulation characteristics,
- • Understand and apply 3GPP NTN standards to enable seamless hybrid cellular and satellite connectivity.
- • Expertise in 5G, 6G, and terrestrial network integration, including concepts like gNB functions hosted in satellites.
- • Work with telco operators, satellite providers, and regulatory bodies to foster innovation and ensure sustainable NTN development.
- • Demonstrated expertise in project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid) and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Knowledge Hub).
- • Strong understanding of NTN ecosystems, including satellite constellations (LEO, MEO, GEO), ground segment infrastructure, user terminals, network protocols (e.g., 5G NTN, IP), and RF principles.
- • Excellent leadership, communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualification
- • Experience with regulatory compliance in the space or telecom sector.
- • Familiarity with cybersecurity considerations in NTN.
- • Experience managing projects with international components or global teams.
- • Knowledge of specific NTN applications (e.g., IoT, backhaul, direct-to-device)
- • Proficiency in Japanese (verbal and written) is highly preferred.
