Job Summary:
Invited is hiring for a Regional Vice President of Human Resources (West Coast) to support and serve as the Human Resource Business Partner for an assigned market of clubs. This role will partner with clubs to understand key business needs and design strategies to support business operations from a talent perspective. This role also acts as the key liaison to communicate key HR initiatives. Primary responsibilities include: Talent Management, Performance Management, Compliance, Education on Company policies, Support to management on employee medical and other leaves, Conducting internal investigations, and Managing Employee Relations matters in a thorough and timely fashion.
The Human Resource Business Partner role is a trusted business, leadership, and employee advisor who creates value through forecasting talent challenges impacting business strategy, shaping and implementing people strategies and organizational change, delivering solutions, and promoting the right workplace culture that aligns with how the business goes to market.
This role can be based out of Los Angeles or San Diego.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works with SVPs of Operations and Regional Managers to develop and implement talent strategies, initiatives, and solutions that support business needs
- Ensures alignment between business objectives and People programs
- Serves as feedback channel between business and various People functions to ensure business perspective is understood
- Leads and implements talent development strategies including engagement, workforce effectiveness, and culture with frontline leaders and employees
- Promotes and leads organizational change at all levels of the company
- Supports Team Member Relations & Investigation team with employee relations issues; and stays abreast of changes in the industry, laws, and regulations
- Provides input and direction on workforce and succession planning assigned Clubs
- Responsible for performing the key open positions analysis and strategy planning with the Operations team and recruiting to make sure that the People Strategy team is quickly providing the support and services to help ensure talent is in place for key roles.
- Ownership of General Manager onboarding/off boarding for assigned market.
- Develop and nurture partnerships with key departments within the Home Office to offer support to assigned Clubs.
- Proactive people practices: assimilation exercises, skip level meetings.
- Have regular communication with Club Level General Managers to provide consultations and assist with issues as they arise.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other members of the People Department to develop policies, programs, and solutions
- Mediate and resolve employee relations issues, conducting through and objective investigations, when necessary.
- Work with club General Managers to find ways to build morale, improve workplace relationships and boost productivity and retention.
- Ensure compliance with all legal requirements pertinent to the day-to-day management of employees, collaborating with Invited’s Legal Department when necessary
About You:
Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience; Advanced degree preferred
- 7-10 years of prior work experience in Human Resources, including employee relations; hospitality experience preferred, including supporting or overseeing HR functions in California.
- Extensive knowledge of California labor and employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour compliance, employee classification (exempt/non-exempt), and required leaves (CFRA, PDL, PSL, etc.).
- Proven track record in managing complex employee relations matters in compliance with California law, including performance management, investigations, terminations, and accommodations.
- Experience developing and implementing HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks that are fully compliant with California and relevant municipal labor and employment laws.

- Strong analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to analyze data and make sound recommendations
- Ability to consistently practice outstanding business judgment with unquestionable ethical practices
- Demonstrated ability to work with the leadership team to identify, plan, and execute strategic initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to be highly collaborative, form consensus, build relationships, and work productively with a broad range of experienced professionals throughout the company
- Demonstrated ability to assess opportunities, structure solutions, and effectively execute project plans to meet goals
- Ability to influence and drive success by asking meaningful questions, challenging the status quo, and modeling teamwork and effective collaboration
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing, and complex environment
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- PHR or SPHR preferred
- Detail oriented with excellent time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to effectively and clearly communicate a strategic and tactical vision to all levels within the organization, as well as with external agencies and business partners

Remote: with regular travel within assigned region and occasional U.S. travel outside of region
