This position is responsible for managing the intake of all leave of absence requests, ensuring the process is in compliance with organization policies and applicable laws. The ideal candidate for this role must have a working knowledge and understanding of relevant leave of absence regulations.  Additionally, the successful candidate must have exceptional customer service problem-solving abilities, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and other departments.

Principal Accountabilities:
 

  • Manage the intake of all leave of absence requests in accordance with organizational policies and applicable leave of absence laws.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of relevant leave of absence regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all staff and other departments.
  • Utilize excellent problem-solving skills to resolve any issues that arise.
  • Communicate effectively with staff and other departments both verbally and in writing.
  • Assist employees with FMLA, NJFLA, Short Term Disability and Parental Leave applications
  • Collaborate with staff and other departments to ensure all leave of absence requests are processed accurately and efficiently.
  • Complete NJ Disability forms
  • Respond to inquiries from staff and other departments in a timely manner.
  • Education/Experience
  • 1. High School Degree Required.

2. Bachelor's Degree Preferred from an accredited college or university in Human Resources Management, Labor Relations, Public Relations, Healthcare Administration, or a related discipline
3. 2 years of relevant experience preferred in human resources or personnel administration, labor relations, employee relations, learning and development, talent acquisition, customer service (providing information and resolving customer concerns), or a related administrative support function.
