Senior Python/SDET Engineer

Requirements

We are looking for a rare kind of engineer: someone who is already an experienced pythonist yet still wants to be in charge of tests in the team. You have a chance to become the first QA/SDET in the team and drive the way we test. We practice QA shift left: for us it is inexcusable to have a separate "QA stage before release" or for SDETs to be writing all tests. We want every developer in the team to be in charge of their own testing. The engineer we hire will instead be driving the testing infrastructure, mentoring others, helping us get better at testing, and write many of our tests but will co-own them with the other engineers.

Must-Haves:

• Experience as a python engineer
• Experience building e2e tests, unit tests, and load tests
• A product-focused mindset and a genuine interest in what you are building
• A proactive nature, with a habit of asking questions and seeking to understand the bigger picture

Bonus Points (Helpful, but not required):

• Experience with Python web frameworks like Django or FastAPI
• Experience with frontend testing approaches
• Experience in an early-stage startup environment
• Experience with building with LLMs or building agentic AI systems
• Front-end experience with frameworks like Vue.js or React
• Leadership experience
