Windows or VMWare JD At least 8+ years of experience in AD/Windows and VMware Administrator - VMware Certified Professional (VCP) / VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) - ITIL Certification. The VMware/Wintel SME (L3) would need to have at least 8 + years of experience. Requirements Must Haves: -8 + years of experience as a VMware and AD Administrator for a large, geographically dispersed enterprise. Experience in the installation, configuration, and administration of components in a large AD and VMware environment centred around best practices, to include vCenter, VMware Update Manager, vCenter Operations Manager, vCenter Orchestrator, vCenter Cloud Automation Center, vCenter Site Recovery Manager. Implement Windows Server based technical solutions, utilizing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to troubleshoot server problems. Experience in VM template design and leveraging vCenter Operations Manager to right size, virtual servers. Experience with server consolidation/virtualization for HW reduction and site migrations via V2V and P2V. Experience in upgrading ESXi hosts and VM guests using VMware Update Manager. Experience installing/provisioning all UCS domain components, including fabric interconnects, chassis, blades, service profiles, pools, policies, templates, and firmware. Experience in Microsoft Windows Server Administration, to include Server 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2019 operating systems. Experience working with various levels of technical individuals at remote locations and vendors to resolve problems or in implementing new solutions. Experience using a ticket management system for work prioritization and daily workload management. Support IT infrastructure operations including troubleshooting and maintenance of servers, related network and system issues. Monitor Incident and Service Request queue and perform work per user requirements in the timeframe requested. Adhere to user Incident and Change Management processes for all activities performed on behalf of customers. Implement Windows Server based technical solutions, utilizing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) to troubleshoot server problems. Research, document, and implement new technology solutions. Work on Continual Service Improvement. Ensure Platform availability by monitoring hardware and capacity.
