This role, Tax Director - Strategy/Transformation, will engage across the entire tax team to align the finance transformation initiatives to the tax function.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Project Management:
  • Lead/oversee global tax transformation projects, ensuring they align with strategic objectives.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and budget.
  • Monitor project progress, manage risks, and implement corrective actions as necessary.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, to ensure seamless execution of projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
• Process Improvement:
  • Partner with functional owners to identify opportunities for process optimization and automation within the tax function.
  • Partner with functional owners to implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance tax compliance and reporting efficiency.
• Change Management:
  • Develop and execute change management strategies to facilitate smooth transitions during transformation initiatives.
  • Conduct training and workshops to support staff adaptation to new processes and technologies.
• Reporting and Documentation:
  • Prepare detailed deliverables including presentations for senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure thorough documentation of project activities, decisions, and outcomes.
• Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure all transformation activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with tax transformation projects.

 

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., MTx or CPA) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results within deadlines.

Skills:

• Analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Extensive experience in project management, particularly in finance or tax-related projects.

Experience:

• Minimum of 8-10 years in management within the finance/tax domain.
• Experience with managing a global team.
• Experience in communicating cross-functionally and globally to within and outside of finance stakeholders

Compensation:

The starting base pay range for this position is 215,000 usd to 265,000 usd. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, geographical location, education, and skill set
