As our Group Financial Controller, you'll be a key driver of financial strategy and business control for our international SaaS business. This role demands more than traditional financial oversight; it requires a deep understanding of SaaS KPIs and metrics to guide our growth and ensure profitability. You will lead the finance function, partner with senior leadership, and provide the data-driven insights necessary to make sound business decisions as we scale globally.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Management

  • Oversee all core financial operations, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in full compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Manage cash flow and provide precise financial forecasts and budgets to support business goals.
  • Prepare board packs and investor-level reporting in collaboration with the CFO.
  • Ensure robust group-wide reconciliations, financial integrity, and compliance with internal controls.

SaaS Metrics & Performance Analysis

  • Own the reporting and analysis of all critical SaaS KPIs, including but not limited to:
    • Monthly Recurring Revenue (MRR) & Annual Recurring Revenue (ARR)
    • Customer Lifetime Value (LTV)
    • Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and LTV:CAC Ratio
    • Churn Rate (Customer & Revenue)
    • Gross Margin and Net Revenue Retention (NRR)
  • Deliver actionable insights based on these metrics to the executive team, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities.

Business Control & Process Improvement

  • Design, implement, and monitor a robust internal control framework to safeguard assets and ensure data integrity.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes and systems, leveraging technology to automate reporting and streamline analysis.

Strategic Leadership

  • Partner with executive leadership and department heads to shape and execute financial strategies.
  • Use financial and unit economics data to support key business decisions around pricing, customer segmentation, and resource allocation.

Financial Operations, Audit & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with IFRS and relevant local regulations.
  • Lead internal and external audits, providing timely and accurate documentation.
  • Oversee global accounting operations including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, commissions, and supplier payments.
  • Manage multi-entity accounting across jurisdictions, including inter company transactions and currency consolidations.
  • Ensure compliance with tax, VAT, and statutory reporting requirements in multiple countries, working with local advisors as needed.
  • Maintain high-quality client records and financial documentation.

Team Leadership

  • Manage and mentor the finance team, promoting a high-performance culture centered on accountability, transparency, and analytical excellence.


Requirements

  • 5–7 years of experience in a senior finance or control role, with direct experience in a SaaS or subscription-based business. Proven experience in tracking, analyzing, and reporting on the core SaaS KPIs listed above is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is required.
  • Proficient in financial management software (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, or similar ERP systems) and advanced Excel skills. Experience with business intelligence (BI) tools is a plus.
  • Outstanding leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to translate complex financial data and SaaS metrics into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders. Detail-oriented, proactive, and adaptable in a dynamic international environment.
  • Proven experience in preparing and presenting board-level reports and executive dashboards.
  • Strong understanding of business operations beyond finance, including client contract review, pricing, sales models, and strategic planning.
  • Hands-on experience with international finance, cross-border compliance, and tax/VAT requirements in multiple jurisdictions.
