Are you passionate about condition monitoring and ensuring optimal performance in a leading paper mill?

We are looking for a dedicated Condition Monitoring Specialist to join our team at our customer site in Lucca. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the facility.
 


Purpose of the Position: 
Ensuring the safe execution of all maintenance and site activities while developing and implementing condition monitoring practices, including the use of specialized condition monitoring tools. The individual will be responsible for maintaining the reliability of equipment through condition-based monitoring, focusing on the development and implementation of condition monitoring measurements and practical tools. Additionally, they will analyze collected data, conduct investigations, and diagnose mechanical and electrical failures to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime. 

Main Responsibilities: 

  • Lead the development and implementation of condition monitoring activities. 

  • Coaching and training the teams when needed.  

  • Update and review condition monitoring tools, software, and alarm limits. 

  • Analyze asset failures and provide recommendations for corrective actions. 

  • Implement and develop reliability data.  

  • Coordinate with specialists (inside or outside Valmet organization) as needed.  

To Succeed in This Role, You Will Need: 

  • ISO 18436 certification in Condition Monitoring (Level 2, Level 3 preferred). 

  • Experienced in similar past roles.  

  • Mechanical engineering background is preferred.  

  • Good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft office tools.  

  • Good command of English (written and spoken), Italian knowledge will be considered a plus.  

  • High commitment to safety and a proactive, self-motivated attitude. 

  • Strong teamwork skills, goal-oriented, and attention to detail. 

  • Some understanding of paper-making processes is a plus. 

  • A valid category B driving license is required, as the client’s site is located in an industrial area that is difficult to reach without a car or motorcycle.
