Graduate Structural Engineer – Residential Projects - Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per year

At Stiltz, we specialise in the design and installation of our innovative through-floor home lift solutions for residential properties. We are passionate about creating safe, high-quality installations for our customers’ homes. As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you’ll gain hands-on experience and learn from our senior engineer while contributing to exciting customer projects.

What You’Ll Be Doing:

You’ll support our structural engineering team in delivering home lift installations for our customer homes, including:

• Assisting with structural design, analysis, and delivery of residential projects.
• Preparing structural calculations and drawings tailored to home lift installations.
• Using software such as AutoCAD and Tedds to develop designs.
• Supporting senior engineers on projects involving steel, timber, and masonry structures.
• Occasionally attending site visits to assist with surveys, inspections, and lift installations.
• Liaising with clients, contractors, and stakeholders under supervision.
• Maintaining accurate project documentation and contributing to reports.

What we’re looking for

We want someone eager to learn, enthusiastic, and ready to develop their career. Key skills and qualifications include:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
• Post-graduation experience in a structural engineering role within the UK (including placements or internships), required due to the need for detailed knowledge of UK building regulations, Eurocodes, and BS codes.
• Knowledge of structural engineering principles and Eurocodes/BS codes.
• Proficiency in structural design software and CAD tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• A full UK driving licence (or equivalent), as the role involves occasional travel to customer homes.
