Autoliv's primary goal is to Save More Lives. Our products never get a second chance. This is why we can never compromise on quality. We are working to increase vehicle safety by developing seatbelts, airbags and steering wheels and you can be part of our team as Customer Quality Engineer.
Should you be interested in overseeing these tasks and aiming for enhanced performance standards, your role will involve:
- Represent the Autoliv Tunisia Plant in resolving customer quality issues
- Act as the main interface with all relevant departments to ensure timely completion of 8D reports
- Coordinate the availability and return of all defective products
- Coordinate the implementation and monitoring of sorting and rework activities at the customer site
- Support new product launches at customer sites
- Manage warranty returns (analysis, 8D, etc.)
- Plan or immediately travel to customer sites when needed
- Analyze returns and assess their severity
- Implement containment actions if necessary
- Manage or ensure the return of defective parts and transfer collected information to Autoliv teams for analysis
- Provide necessary elements for Quality analysis
- Participate in expert review committees
- Inform the customer about the products
- Audit compliance with assembly recommendations
- Address potential or confirmed quality issues on-site
- Handle warranty returns
- Comply with customer regulations and standards
If You Have/Are:
- 4 years of university-level education
- English, French, Arabic language skills
- 3 years' experience in the automotive industry
- Problem-Solving Methodologies:
- Quality Standards:
- Core Tools: These are essential quality tools required by IATF 16949:
- 8D – Eight Disciplines Problem Solving: a structured approach to solving complex problems, often used in quality management.
- PDCA – Plan, Do, Check, Act: a continuous improvement cycle.
- 5M – Method, Machine, Manpower, Material, Measurement: used to identify root causes in processes.
- 5P – Purpose, Process, People, Product, Problem: another root cause analysis tool.
- Ishikawa – Also known as the Fishbone Diagram or Cause-and-Effect Diagram, used to visually map out potential causes of a problem.
- IATF Requirements – Refers to the requirements of the IATF 16949 standard, which governs quality management systems in the automotive industry.
- CSR – Customer Specific Requirements: additional quality or process requirements defined by individual automotive customers.
- APQP – Advanced Product Quality Planning
- PPAP – Production Part Approval Process
- FMEA – Failure Mode and Effects Analysis
- MSA – Measurement System Analysis
- SPC – Statistical Process Control
