What You ‘ll Be Doing
The Airworthiness Officer will take on part of the following tasks as assigned by the Head of the Airworthiness Office.
The Airworthiness Officer Shall:
- Liaison between the Design Organisation (DO) and Competent Authorities (CA) with respect to all aspects of the certification program
- Prepare and update the Design Organisation Handbook (DOH) and relevant DO procedures and ensure that all DO procedures are followed by DO staff
- Develop and interprets the certification basis to be proposed to the CA
- Prepare the certification program and coordinates all tasks related to the certification process
- Report to the CAs about the progress of the certification process
- Checks and ensures the accuracy, completeness, and suitability of the compliance documents and justification material for certification
- Provide guidance for the preparation of aircraft manuals, Service Bulletins (SBs), drawings, specifications, and standards

Qualifications & Experience
Required:
- BSc or MSc in Aeronautical Engineering or related fields
- Good knowledge and understanding of aircraft systems and components
- Familiarity with civil/military airworthiness regulations (e.g. EASA, FAA, EMARs) and compliance procedures
- Knowledge of aircraft design, certification processes, and related civil/military airworthiness standards (e.g. CS-VLA, CS-23, MIL-HDBK-516, STANAG 4671)
- Knowledge and understanding of system engineering process and practices
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in aeronautical design and engineering, aircraft maintenance quality assurance/control, aircraft configuration management, or a related field
- Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and/or Computer-Aided Engineering software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Proficiency in English is required
Desired:
- Experience working within an approved DO environment, particularly with EASA Part 21 Subpart J or military equivalent
- Knowledge of SMS principles and their application in aviation
- Experience working on military or civil UAS (in design, production, and maintenance activities).
