Job Summary

We are seeking an Investment Analyst to join in our Korean Equities team in Seoul, South Korea to be responsible for high quality, insightful and bottom-up research analysis on Korean equities. 

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct bottom-up research analysis on Korean equities and perform financial modelling on assigned stocks.
• Perform in-depth research on a range of industries and markets.
• Attend clients’ meetings, brokers’ conferences and various investment meetings.
• Quantitative and qualitative research analysis based on interviews, company visits and evaluation of questions.
• Actively generate actionable investment ideas and views with high conviction.
• Maintain a full understanding of and comply with all regulatory, legal, corporate and client mandate requirements. Ensure it is incorporated into the investment recommendations.
• Provide all relevant investment literature and written reports in high quality within deadline
• Assist with the responses to specific product proposals

Qualifications

• Degree holder in business / finance discipline with strong academic background. 
• Intermediate level of English
• CFA qualification is desirable
• Over 10 years of research experience in covering Korean equities or equivalent experience
• Experience in covering specific sector or Various sectors
• Able to undertake in-depth research independently and sound analytical and stock picking skills
• Solid modelling skills and thorough understanding of the principles of stock valuation and what creates value for shareholders
• Strong business acumen and understand intuitively what makes businesses thrive or fail
• Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
• Smart and a Self-motivated, with a commitment to succeed
• Strong communication and presentation skills (both verbal and written)
• Ability to work independently and can be a team player
• Confident in working within a flat structure and a mixture of Asia/western-culture environment
