The opportunity
We are currently seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated people to join our Public Sector practice in Business Consulting.
As a member of the Public Sector team, you’ll help Government and Public Services transform their business operations and platforms. You will work with our clients to help solve their toughest challenges and deliver insightful recommendations that are rigorous in their grounding, creative in their selection, distinct to each client, and practical in their day-to-day operations to build citizen-centric services.
Your key responsibilities
You will work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution and you will:
- Manage and deliver projects and proposals
- Support in the project implementation for public sector consultancy projects in several areas related to co-funded projects and programs, policy making, public administration reforms, EU funded projects and programs
- Contribution to tasks related to drafting tenders for public procurement (i.e. 4412/2016), implementation of tendering & contracting processes for public procurement
- Deal with project research and participate in report writing process
- Share and collaborate effectively with others
- Communicate confidently in a clear, concise and articulate manner – verbally and in the materials produced

- Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple complex projects under tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team as well as with clients, partners and ecosystem
- Ability to develop presentations that are clear and impactful, translating EY advisory services into meaningful valued propositions for clients
- A passion and motivation to provide high quality service to our clients
To qualify for the role you must have
- At least 2 years of relevant work experience in a consulting firm or related professional area (business unit/research organization) with emphasis on providing advisory services to public sector organizations
- Experience in NSRF, co-funded projects or national ones of every type i.e. PMO, technical assistance, specialized studies from drafting proposals to implementation stages, delivery of projects and client engagement
- Bachelor’s degree in public policy, Political Science, Economics, Business Administration, Finance or Engineering
- Master’s Degree will be considered a plus
- Knowledge and prior experience in areas related to Government and Public Sector Services gained through serving Greek public administration, European Institutions and / or International Donor Organizations
- Prior experience in preparation of responses to Greek public sector and European tenders
- Understanding on a. major planned Greek public sector reforms as well as c. funding / financing opportunities available for the realization of public sector reforms, b. latest trends regarding a variety of policy areas (e.g. general public services, economic affairs, environmental protection, social policies, etc.)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop insights from quantitative and qualitative information
- Excellent writing skills in Greek and English language
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications
Ideally, you’ll also
- Knowledge of NSRF/ESIF/EU Structural Funds /RRF
- Knowledge of public procurement framework
- Sectorial experience in any selected sectors such as: Health, Transport & Mobility, Agribusiness, Energy
