2. JOB PURPOSE
Execute on Hikma’s growth strategy by working on M&A and business development projects including deal sourcing, due diligence, valuation, and negotiation of transaction documents.
3. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Strategy:
Assist in the Execution of Hikma’s inorganic growth strategy by executing M&A deals, business development support and other major projects undertaken by Hikma Group.
Policies & Procedures:
Constant development of M&A policies and procedure to ensure smooth workflow, work product quality and clear recommendations to senior management.
Budget:
Ensure optimal utilization of the M&A’s team budget
Projects
Conduct various financial analysis and valuation exercises. Assist deal team day to day operation to ensure smooth due diligence and deal execution.
Job specific accountabilities
- Evaluates M&A opportunities to ensure healthy deal pipeline that aligns with Hikma’s strategy
- Conduct various screening and market research exercises
- Conduct and assist in due diligence activities for potential acquisitions, and clearly identify and address key findings
- Conduct valuation exercises
- Prepare investment thesis presentations with clear recommendations
- Prepare and submit offers
- Assist in the negotiation and execution of deal documents
- Support Hikma’s business development teams in project assessments
- Assess Hikma key projects, such as greenfield
- Ad hoc projects as requested by Hikma senior management
4. COMMUNICATIONS & WORKING RELATIONSHIPS
Internal
- Various teams including the executive committee
External:
- Various advisors including investment banks, legal counsel, accounting firms and technical advisors as needed.
5. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in finance
- Preferred: MBA, CFA, CPA, or equivalent is preferred
EXPERIENCE
- Minimum: 3 to 5 years in corporate finance roles
- Preferred: Experience in the pharmaceuticals industry
