Position Overview:
The UA technician provides urinalysis services. This technician will work primarily with Male patients performing observed/ unobserved UAs.
Position: Full-time
Shift and Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9am-6pm.
Compensation: Starting at $17.85/ hr

Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent completion.
Required Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
- Microsoft Office Suite, including Office 365
- Has the ability to follow oral and written directions
- Has knowledge and practice of de-escalation methods
- Has the flexibility to respond to changing needs and environments.
- Has the ability to work in an environment where people may be verbally hostile and/or abusive
- Must have the ability to work within an integrated team model which includes: cross-training with other administrative support positions, providing coverage and support to other administrative support positions stationed at the home site and/or other WF sites.
- Effectively manages time and meets deadlines
- Proficient in documentation
- Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
Employment Requirements:
- This role requires the Urinalysis (UA )Technician to be available on-site; Must be located in the Eugene, OR area or be willing to commute.
- Background check approval from the Department of Human Services (Initiated post-offer).
- Ability to pass Pre-employment Drug screening, including cannabis/THC (Initiated post-offer).
- Effective 03/28/2025- Willamette Family has a required 12 month waiting period before former clients can apply for employment. This policy is in place to ensure professional boundaries and avoid potential conflicts of interest. Essential Duties:
- Collect observed and non-observed urine samples from clients within guidelines of various contracts
Responsible for mastering the electronic UA program including:
- Client data entry,
- Setting up/ adjusting the scheduling of UA schedule for individual clients
- Insurance authorizations,
- Release of Information ( ROI) oversight
- Uploading results into Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Documentation of all UA results as per the guidelines
- Monitor all UA results, request confirmation as needed
- Contact designated referral source if required
- Maintain regular communication with clinical staff regarding positive UA results
- Contact clients when UA is missed or when attendance at UA’s is of concern
- Serve as a liaison with outside laboratory communications
- Provide education to staff and clients about urine collection, interpretation of results, documentation, and reporting of results.
- Serve as the designated safety committee representative for OPBH
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the facility/environment
- Assist in maintaining a trauma-informed-care environment
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with 42 CFR Part 2/HIPAA
- Regular attendance
Additional Duties As Requested:
- Assist clinical staff with engagement calls, and support.
- Assist with data tracking, pulling CareLogic reports if request, other data tracking as indicated
- Assist clinical staff with clerical duties to include making copies, filing documents, entering documents into Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Cover for primary receptionist as requested
- Complete any tasks assigned by the Program Manager/Clinical Supervisor and Program Director.
