Description

The Senior Manager, Quality Assurance ensures the Firm delivers high-quality accounting and audit services in compliance with GAAS and PCAOB standards. This role provides guidance and oversight to professional staff, reviews engagements for adherence to firm policies and professional standards, and serves as an independent Engagement Quality Control Reviewer (EQCR) on applicable audits and reviews. The Senior Manager also manages PCAOB inspection responses, implements remediation plans, and delivers ongoing training to strengthen staff competence and engagement quality. This position reports to firm leadership and collaborates across audit, accounting, and quality assurance teams to maintain the Firm’s commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance and oversight on accounting and audit engagements performed in accordance with GAAS and PCAOB standards.
• Conduct in-flight, pre-issuance, and post-issuance reviews of client services to ensure compliance with firm policies and professional standards.
• Serve as an independent Engagement Quality Control Reviewer (EQCR) on applicable audit and review engagements.
• Draft and respond to PCAOB inspection comments and lead remediation efforts for identified deficiencies.
• Design, develop, and deliver training programs for professional staff on auditing standards, quality assurance practices, and professional development.
• Advise partners and senior leadership on audit quality, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance matters.
• Collaborate with internal teams to improve audit methodology, tools, and processes firm-wide.
• Mentor and supervise junior managers and professional staff, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
• Perform other quality assurance or advisory services as required by the Firm.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• CPA license required.
• Extensive experience in public accounting, including audit, review, and quality control functions
• Strong knowledge of GAAS, PCAOB standards, and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience performing EQCRs or managing PCAOB inspection responses preferred.
• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience supervising professional staff.

Preferred Experience:

• Consulting experience on audit quality, risk management, or regulatory compliance.
• Familiarity with technology-driven audit tools and data analytics.
