Graduate Field Applications Engineer

Job Description

Renesas Electronics Americas offers an entry-level Field Applications Engineer (FAE) position designed to train and develop new engineers within their sales organization. The role begins with a 6 to 9-month training working with a Senior FAE followed by placement at a design office in the USA, where the engineer supports customer designs and technical sales efforts.

• Entry-level training and role progression: The position starts with hands-on training under a senior FAE, focusing on customer design development, technical reviews, troubleshooting, and product evaluation, with the role evolving into a full Field Applications Engineer responsible for technical pre-sales and post-sales support.
• Core responsibilities: Responsibilities include troubleshooting power supply circuits, assisting with component selection and board layout, conducting schematic and layout reviews, modifying evaluation boards for demos, and supporting customers on-site to resolve product-related issues.
• Sales and customer engagement: The FAE aims to secure design wins, provide competitive analysis, guide sales strategies, maintain communication with marketing and management, and build close relationships with customers, sales teams, and distributors to advance Renesas products. 

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering
• Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Be selfmotivated team players capable of handling multiple tasks
• Have knowledge of the semiconductor industry

Additional Information

The expected annual pay range for this position is $90,000 - $110,000. This position is also eligible for   bonus opportunities and commission pay.  Please note that the final offer amount will be dependent on geographic location, applicable experience, and skillset of the candidate.
