DevOps Engineer - Python

You will join the engineering team supporting QRT’s low-latency trading strategies. Your focus will be on developing tools and infrastructure for data analysis, monitoring, and system automation. The role involves close collaboration with quantitative researchers and engineers to support real-time performance at scale.

 

Your future role within QRT

• Design and develop tooling to collect, aggregate, and analyse data from in-house trading systems
• Build and maintain pipelines to process network packet captures for latency analysis
• Develop monitoring, alerting, and anomaly detection systems to ensure trading performance
• Collaborate with engineers and researchers to integrate analysis tools into production workflows
• Improve CI/CD workflows and contribute to infrastructure automation practices
• Develop deep expertise in distributed systems and performance engineering over time

Your present skillset

• Strong Python development and shell scripting experience
• Experience with data analytics and time series analysis
• Familiarity with containerisation and orchestration frameworks
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices
• Proficiency with observability tools (e.g. Grafana, ELK stack)
• Understanding of Linux internals and OS-level performance tuning
• Interest in financial markets and trading systems
