Major Responsibility: 

  • Strategize new seller acquisition and build versatile approaches to generate seller interest and commitment to the Selling on Coupang in China market with short-term tactics and long-term vision.
  • Develop robust network with external partners, such as Service Provider Networks, industry associations, key government, etc., to empower new seller with ecosystem capability.
  • Build effective targeted and scalable acquisition functions to maximize the new seller acquisition efficiency. 
  • Influence internally to develop new product features for new success growth and success on Coupang marketplace. 
  • Hire and develop a high performing team to find way for high expectation and deliver results. 
  • Establish the organizational capability for Seller Education and Seller Engagement. 
  • Create and articulate compelling value propositions around the Global Selling service to China Sellers cohort and also internally in Coupang. 
  • Support internal partners in driving change, removing roadblocks and increasing participation by local Sellers with respect to the Coupang Global Selling business. 

Basic Qualification: 

  • BA/BS degree required.
  • 10+ years of successful sales and business development experience, preferably in the e-Commerce, retail technology or software industries.
  • Demonstrated records in exceeding marketing/business development/sales targets using a consultative, solutions-focused approach.
  • Exceptional communication, influencing skills and relationship management.
  • Experienced in heading a fast-growing team and be agile on organizational changes. 
  • A result-driven leader but also has good balance in people sense with compassion.  
  • Mix of strategic thinking and demand excellence in operation with data-driven approach. 
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment and deal with ambiguity with growth and positive mindset. 

Preferred Qualification 

  • MBA degree preferred 
  • Experience in Global e-commerce and/or retail industry 
  • Proven ability to influence others. 
  • Ability to work with legal, product and internal business owners to reach mutually beneficial agreement.
