The Difference You will Make:
Airbnb is seeking an exceptional, qualified attorney to serve as in-house counsel in our São Paulo office. Reporting to the Associate General Counsel in Brazil, you will be responsible for advising Airbnb’s innovative business in Brazil and supporting strategic functions of our team. You must demonstrate excellent judgment in balancing legal risks with business strategy, and have the ability to quickly learn new areas of law and function independently in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for a highly adaptable and collaborative person who can handle rapidly shifting priorities with flexibility, patience, and poise.
A Typical Day:
- Provide general legal support for Airbnb’s business in Brazil, including business development, marketing, consumer rights, employment, antitrust, and sector-specific regulations.
- Draft and review contracts, terms of service and corporate documents.
- Collaborate effectively with international colleagues, both in Latin America and the US, to provide globally aligned legal advice that balances domestic and international perspectives.
- Help design, implement, and iterate legal department and compliance processes to address local concerns and keep pace with hyper-growth.
Your Expertise:
- Licensed to practice law in Brazil.
- At least 15 years of relevant post-qualification experience.
- Fluency in English (reading, writing, and speaking) is essential.
- Exceptional ability to consistently deliver creative, thoughtful, and business-oriented results that balance growth and risk in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Willingness and ability to travel internationally as required.
- Driven, high-integrity, self-starting and adaptable.
- Proven track record of quickly learning new areas of law and advising competently.
- Highly collaborative, supportive of colleagues.
- Strong academic credentials.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Top performer with high integrity and a demonstrated ability to function independently while exercising good judgment regarding when to seek guidance or consult with management on risk tolerance.

The base pay range shown below is monthly, is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits.
