At its core, this role is about transforming how data flows at Syndio and building the future of all data ingestion across the company.

Why this job is exciting:

  • Design and build workflows on various integration platforms to automate data flows, ensuring HRIS and ATS integrations are fully operational with reliable data flow and minimal manual intervention.
  • Manage connectors and APIs, including configuring existing and building custom ones, to ensure secure and reliable system connectivity.
  • Monitor and support integration performance by troubleshooting errors, maintaining documentation, and optimizing ongoing integrations with quick issue resolution and continuous improvements.
  • Collaborate across engineering and customer success teams to guarantee reliable integrations, smooth deployments, minimal downtime, and maximized observability, ultimately improving customer outcomes.
  • Establish integration platform governance and best practices, including documentation, monitoring, and error-handling standards.
  • Enable Customer Success Managers (CSMs) with repeatable onboarding workflows to reduce time-to-value for new customers.
  • Create a comprehensive knowledge base with playbooks and documentation to empower teams to self-serve and scale integrations over time.

Basic Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of APIs, webhooks, and authentication protocols (REST, SOAP, OAuth, API keys).
  • Solid programming knowledge, preferably Python & SQL.
  • Experience with data orchestration, including scheduling, sequencing, and monitoring workflows across multiple systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and monitor integration workflows, resolve errors, and optimize performance.
  • Familiarity with HRIS, ATS, CRM, or ERP systems and their data models.
  • Strong documentation habits and ability to establish integration best practices.
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work across technical and non-technical teams.

About You:

  • You have a background in data with deep knowledge of data security, compliance, and governance.
  • You have had solid exposure to customer onboarding processes and cross-system data flows.
  • You are experienced with data integration platforms, APIs, and data orchestration, and comfortable troubleshooting and optimizing workflows.
  • You are familiar with cloud infrastructure, databases and data warehouses (e.g., GCP, AWS, PostgresSQL, MySQL, BigQuery, Snowflake).
  • You have designed scalable integration architectures and can contribute to long-term roadmap planning.
  • You are a strong communicator, collaborating effectively with both technical and non-technical teams across levels and functions.
  • You assume positive intent, are humble and eager, expect the best from yourself, value partnership over perfection, and provide grace and understanding in stressful situations
