Job Title: Architect/Principal Software Engineer, Data Platform

A quick snapshot...

As a Principal Software Engineer or Architect, you will collaborate with a passionate team dedicated to solving complex, large-scale challenges that directly impact our customers. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the Architecture, design and development of high scale, high-performance multi-tenant Revenue SaaS Platform. You will be part of the Platform team, a tightly integrated group responsible for building and scaling platform services of our Revenue Lifecycle Management cloud. We architect, build, operate, and support the internal systems and services that power our platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and seamless integration across the organization.

This role plays a pivotal role in architecting and building a highly scalable, cloud-agnostic Revenue Cloud Platform, driving end-to-end architecture for mission-critical applications and services. This position demands a strong focus on data architecture, microservice development, enterprise-grade scalability, security, maintainability, and reliability. As a key technical leader, you will act as a strategic liaison across the engineering organization—fostering collaboration, improving communication, and aligning teams around a shared technical vision and a solid understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and related concepts is essential to succeed in this role.

Are you the person we’re looking for?  

Technical Expertise. You’re likely to have 10+ years of overall industry experience, including 5+ years building solutions on public cloud platforms (AWS or Azure), proficient in REST API design and development along with proven hands-on software development experience with a strong track record of designing, building, and delivering large-scale, enterprise-grade cloud solutions.

Hands-on Architecture Skills You should have experienced working as a hands-on Architect building modern cloud-native solutions, distributed systems and event driven architectures

Strong .Net skills. You should have strong proficiency working with .NET and C#, with a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and growth.

Great Problem-Solving Skills You should be self-driven, proactive and enjoy solving complex problems not just in the primary area of responsibility but across boundaries.

Microservices. You should have experience building back-end microservices from the ground up, should be very comfortable working with containers/Kubernetes. 

Strong Data skills. You should have strong hands-on experience in both SQL and NoSQL Databases with strong knowledge of data architecture and data modelling

Strong Communication skills. You should have strong communication skills with ability to present technical solutions to stakeholders at all levels and demonstrated professionalism interacting with both internal and external audiences. Additionally, you should be very comfortable working in an agile environment

Education. A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, preferable in Computer science

You will lead a team of engineers in architecture, design, planning, and delivery, ensuring goals are met and standards of excellence are set. This role also fosters a culture of collaboration, shared ownership, scalable architecture, and customer success

Passionate Coder. You’re proactive, self-driven, and enjoy solving complex problems, not just in the primary area of responsibility but across boundaries. You identify and implement best practices for coding as well as development processes and perform as a trusted contributor requiring little to no supervision and demonstrate the ability to meet deadlines, exceed goals, and create benchmarks for success.

Excellent Interpersonal and people skills. You’re a person with solid communication skills and the ability to convey technical solutions to the end-user of all levels of ability and demonstrated professionalism interacting with both internal and external audiences.

Analytical thinker and creative problem solver. You can see issues holistically and follow the flow of the stack to get to the root of the matter -- a key skill in this role. But your ability to identify creative solutions to unique customer requirements is where you shine. This is critical for ensuring our customer’s issues are resolved to meet or exceed their expectations without increasing their costs.  

Agile Methodology. You should be able to perform in an extremely dynamic environment with an Agile development approach. You should have the ability to convert a small business problem statement into a product deliverable with minimal supervision. You will have to collect and understand the customer’s business requirements and build the solution using various Conga Products and other cloud computing capabilities like Salesforce and other SaaS platforms.
