Position Title: Tax Accountant – Tax Reporting
Organization: Corporate Tax
Position Location: Irving, TX
Job Responsibilities: This position is responsible for assisting the Tax Directors and Managers in carrying out the provision, tax planning, compliance, and audit functions for a US-based multi-national corporation. Although not all inclusive, the representative responsibilities of the position are listed below:
- Preparation/review of quarterly foreign tax packages for ASC 740 reporting including foreign return to provision adjustments and routine communication with foreign finance teams
- Review of quarterly foreign FIN 48 questionnaires, foreign and domestic audit tracking, and preparation of quarterly calculations including communication with foreign finance teams
- Preparation/review of quarterly and annual ASC 740 calculations including the analysis of valuation allowance, uncertain tax positions, other discrete tax impacts, and consolidated global ETR
- Prepare quarterly memos regarding ASC 740
- Preparation of tax-related journal entries and corresponding general ledger reconciliations
- Preparation of the tax footnote
- Manage quarterly calendar, request workflows in Workiva and Onesource setup and maintenance (OTP, Dataflow, and UTP)
- Develop solid expertise in Flowserve’ accounting policies, practices, and systems
- Maintain standardized and well documented work papers to facilitate review
- Monitor developments in laws to ensure Flowserve’s compliance
- Collaborate with other tax department members on projects

Required Skills / Experience:
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant, progressive experience in ASC 740 for a multinational company
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Tax required
- Strong understanding of Tax and GAAP principles
- Ability to gather, organize and analyze data
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills
- Team player, detail oriented, and organized
- Ability to work with minimal daily supervision
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, particularly advanced Excel and Power Query
- Proficient with OneSource provision software
Preferred Skills / Experience:
- Tax research skills including proficiency in CCH, RIA, and/or BNA research software
- Master's degree preferred
- CPA or CPA candidate is preferred
- Experience with Sharepoint, SAP BPC, and SAP ERP
- Process improvement implementations
