Job Description

Conducts product inspection to manage product quality. Make quality inspection data to ensure product quality to customers.

Responsibilities / Duties

Supports manufacturing operations by conducting laboratory analyses and evaluating results, as needed, which provides critical data. Prepares samples and performs basic calibration, preventative maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instrumentation and methods. Uses data systems to acquire data and monitor analytical system performance. Reports results to clients. Requires broadened technical skills in analytical/scientific methods or operational processes to perform a defined array of activities. May act as an informal resource for team members with less experience.

• Performs routine analyses.
• Collects samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Prepares basic calibration standards.
• Performs basic calibration and preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluates validity of data, applies basic statistics, interpret results and takes appropriate action.
• Monitors analytical systems, identifies problems, conducts first-line troubleshooting and escalates as appropriate.
• Documents, communicates and archives analytical results and calibration data.
• Follows EH&S and operating discipline management system (ODMS) procedures and practices for work tasks.
• Suggests improvements to lab work processes and tools.
• Escalates non-routine requests to appropriate team member for follow-up.
• Performs data entry and processing using computer terminals.

Experience

• Completion of vocational or higher education (i.e. high school graduation) or higher, during which coursework in chemistry or related courses is required.

Working Information

• Weekdays Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day, 1 hour lunch break, flextime system with no core time. (7.5 hours x number of weekdays = working hours per month)
• Saturday, Sunday, specific holidays agreed upon by the company and union (generally Japanese national holidays)
• No record of working on holidays in 2023 and 2024
• Overtime work (7.5 hours x working hours beyond working days) is 0 to 20 hours per month.

• This position does not offer relocation assistance.
• Since you need to communicate with other Analytical Operations staffs and other departments, you need to be able to speak fluent Japanese.

職務内容

製品品質を管理するために製品検査を実施します。品質検査データを作成し、顧客に製品品質を保証します。

責任/義務

必要に応じて、重要なデータを提供する実験室での検査を実施し、結果を評価することで製造業務をサポートします。サンプルを準備し、実験室の機器と方法の基本的な校正、予防保守、トラブルシューティング(問題解決)を実行します。データシステムを使用してデータを取得し、測定システムのパフォーマンスを監視します。結果を顧客に報告します。定義された一連の検査業務活動を実行するには、分析/科学的方法または運用プロセスに関する幅広い技術スキルが必要です。経験の少ないチームメンバーのために作業の補助をする場合があります。

• 日常的な検査、測定を実行します。
• LIT(ラボ用のアプリケーション)の指示に従ってサンプルを準備します。
• 標準的な校正手順に従って校正を実施します。
• 標準的な校正を実施して、測定装置などの予防保守を実行します。
• データの妥当性を確認し、基本的な統計を適用し、結果を解釈して適切な措置を講じます。
• 測定装置の管理し、問題を特定し、初期の問題解決を実施し、必要に応じて上司への報告をします。
• 測定結果と校正結果を文書化し、伝達し、記録に残します。
• 日常業務について、EH&S(安全環境管理) およびODMS(Dowの運用規律管理システム)の手順に従い、実行します。
• 実験室の作業方法や使用する器具などの改善を提案します。
• 非定常な測定作業を適切に上司に連絡して、フォローアップします。
• コンピューター端末による入力作業、データ処理をします。

経験

• 職業教育または高等教育 (高校卒業など) 以上の修了、その期間に化学または関連コースの授業を習得していること。

勤務情報

• 平日月曜から金曜日、1日7.5時間目安、昼休み1時間、コアタイムの無いフレックス制度あり。(7.5時間×平日日数を月の就業時間とする)
• 土曜、日曜、会社と組合で合意した特定休日（概ね日本国の祭日）
• 2023年および2024年の休日出勤実績はゼロ
• 時間外就業(7.5時間×出勤日を超える時間の就業)は月あたり0～20時間目安。

• このポジションでは千葉に移転するための引っ越し代金のような、金銭的な支援は提供されません。
• 品質管理課員および他の部署の人とコミュニケーションを取る必要があるため、流暢な日本語を話せることが必要です。また業務の関係上、就労開始後にコンピューター作業が可能であることが必須です。
