Sr Process Engineer (Zone 2)

Job Summary:

As a Process Engineer at Enovix, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and scaling manufacturing processes for advanced lithium-ion battery technologies. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including R&D, equipment engineering, and quality to ensure robust, high-yield production processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize processes for cell assembly using Enovix’s patented 3D architecture.
• Support NTP and transfer to high-volume manufacturing with high process capability.
• Design and execute experiments using DOE methodologies to improve yield and performance.
• Collaborate with equipment engineers to specify, qualify, and troubleshoot custom manufacturing equipment.
• Implement SPC, FMEA, and other quality tools to monitor and improve process stability.
• Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and process documentation.
• Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for process deviations and quality issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and cost reduction efforts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automation Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in lithium-ion battery manufacturing or similar high-tech production environments will be an added advantage.
• Demonstrated analytical skills and proficiency in statistical tools including SPC, JMP, and other relevant software.
• Hands-on experience with process development, scale-up, and troubleshooting.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
• Good interpersonal skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automation and custom equipment integration.
• Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and precision manufacturing.
